Alphabets क्या है? (what is alphabets?)
The complete set of letters in a language is called the alphabet. There are 26 alphabets in english language in which 5 are vowels (a, e, i, o and u) and the rest 21 are consonants.
किसी भाषा को लिखने के लिए उसमे कुछ निश्चित अक्षरों के समूह का प्रयोग किया जाता है, जिन्हे alphabets कहा जाता है। अंग्रेजी में कुल 26 alphabets है जिसमे 5 स्वर (vowels) और 21 व्यंजन (consonants) है।
Letters क्या है? (what is letters?)
A written or printed sign that represents a sound in a language is called letters. In the English language, these letters are divided into two types.
किसी भाषा में ध्वनि को लिखने के लिए जिन चिन्हों का प्रयोग किया जाता है उन्हें अक्षर कहते हैं। अंग्रेजी भाषा में, इन अक्षरों को दो प्रकारों में विभाजित किया गया है।
- Vowels (स्वर)
- Consonants (व्यंजन)
Vowels –
The letters which are pronounced with an open mouth allowing the free flow to the air are called vowels.
जिन अक्षरों का उच्चारण खुले मुंह से किया जाता है, तथा जिन अक्षरों का उच्चारण बिना किसी दूसरे अक्षर के किया जाता है, स्वर कहलाते हैं। अंग्रेजी वर्णमाला में पांच vowels है –
a, e, i, o और u
Consonants –
The letters which are pronounced by stopping the air flowing freely through the mouth are called consonants.
मुँह के माध्यम से स्वतंत्र रूप से बहने वाली वायु को रोककर जिन वर्णों का उच्चारण किया जाता है, उन्हें व्यंजन कहते हैं। ऊपर वाले सभी पाँच vovels को छोड़कर बाकि सभी व्यंजन (consonant) है।
Note – W और Y semi vovels यानि स्वर और व्यंजन दोनों कहलाते है क्योंकि इनका स्थिति के अनुसार दोनों जगह प्रयोग किया जाता है।
Words –
Any meaningful combination of letters signifying an object, an action or a modifying or qualifying expression is called a word.
वर्णो का समूह जो किसी व्यक्ति, वस्तु, स्थान और क्रिया आदि को दर्शाते है, शब्द कहलाते है। एक word के लिए कम से कम एक vowel और एक consonant का होना आवश्यक है, यदि vowel न हो तो उसकी ध्वनि वाला consonant होना चाहिए।
Vocabulary –
The stock of words in a language is known as vocabulary.
किसी भाषा में शब्दों का भंडार को vocabulary कहा जाता है।
Syllable –
A word or part of a word which contains one vowel sound is known as a syllable.
एक शब्द या एक शब्द का एक हिस्सा जिसमें एक स्वर ध्वनि होती है उसे syllable कहा जाता है। जैसे – You, me or go etc.
Sentence –
A group of words containing a subject and a verb, that expresses a statement, a question or makes complete sense.
किसी विषय और क्रिया से युक्त शब्दों का एक समूह जो एक कथन, एक प्रश्न या एक संपूर्ण अर्थ व्यक्त करता है। जैसे – He goes to School Every day.
